Upgrading of Physiotherapy Dept at PIMS to cost Rs 26m
ISLAMABAD: The PC-I to upgrade the Physiotherapy Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has been prepared, according to which the upgradation will cost Rs 26 million. The department lacks necessary equipment since 1986, said Physiotherapy Department Head Dr Sumera Malik. Dr Sumera added that the gymnasium and electrotherapy equipment would be upgraded too. A separate hydrotherapy section will be established in the main physiotherapy department, she said.The Out Patients Department receives up to 100 patients and 30 indoor patients daily to conduct different types of physiotherapy, she said. PIMS Executive Director (ED) Prof Dr Syed Fazal Hadi has sent the PC-I to Planning Commission for approval. online
